Who you are buying from

Your personalised order

Each letter is made to the spelling, characters and colours you submit. Please review those details carefully before paying. The live preview is designed to show the real letter shapes, but screen colours, lighting and the handmade finishing process can create small natural differences.

Approximate dimensions are 8 cm high and 2 cm deep per letter; width varies by character. Letters are lightweight 3D-printed decorative items with a glossy finish.

Price and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any applicable UK taxes and standard UK delivery are included unless we clearly state otherwise before payment. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we do not receive your full card details.

Your order is placed when payment succeeds and the confirmation screen is shown. We may contact you if a detail needs clarification. If we cannot accept or make an order, we will notify you and refund the amount paid.

Safe use

These letters are decorative items, not toys. Adult installation is required. Keep adhesive pads and loose letters away from young children, do not position them above a cot or bed, use only on a clean, dry, smooth surface, and check periodically that every letter remains secure.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We do not exclude liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Products are supplied for private domestic use.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Scottish law. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you retain the mandatory consumer protections of your home nation and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Delivery

We currently deliver to UK addresses. Orders are normally made and dispatched within 3–5 working days. Delivery time starts after dispatch and is an estimate rather than a guaranteed date.

• Standard UK delivery is free.
• We may use Evri or another suitable UK carrier.
• Tracking will be emailed when the selected service provides it.
• Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address; contact us quickly if it needs changing.

If a parcel is delayed or appears lost, email us and we will investigate with the carrier. Risk passes to you when the order is delivered to the address you supplied or to a person you nominated.

Returns & refunds

Changes and cancellations

Contact us as soon as possible after ordering. If production has not started, we will do our best to change or cancel the order. Once production has begun, changes or cancellation may not be possible.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

Your legal rights remain fully protected. If an item arrives damaged, is faulty, is not as described, or we made the wrong spelling or colour, contact us promptly with your order details and clear photos. We will offer an appropriate repair, replacement or refund and cover reasonable return costs where a return is required.

For the quickest resolution, please report visible problems within 30 days of delivery. This request does not limit any longer rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Timing depends on Stripe and your bank, but we will process the refund without undue delay after agreeing the resolution or receiving a required return.

Information we use

• Your name, email, phone number and delivery address.
• Your personalised wording, colour choices, note, order value and transaction reference.
• Messages you send us and our customer-service history.
• Basic device, page and interaction data only when you consent to analytics.

Why we use it

Who helps us provide the service

We share only the information needed with trusted providers: Stripe for payments and invoices; our website hosting provider and Cloudflare infrastructure; PostHog for consented analytics; and Evri or another delivery carrier. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, they use recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.

How long we keep it

Order and financial records are normally kept for up to six years for tax, accounting, disputes and legal obligations. Customer messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed. Analytics data is retained according to our configured PostHog retention settings. We then delete or anonymise information where practical.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your data, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent. Email us to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookie policy

Cookies and similar browser storage help websites remember information. We use the smallest practical set and do not use advertising cookies.

You can change your choice at any time. Rejecting analytics will not affect shopping or checkout.

The quickest way to reach us is hello@poppyletters.co.uk. Please include your order reference when contacting us about a purchase. We aim to acknowledge customer-service messages within two working days.
